A particular highlight of GIZEH injection molding is accessorizing the product in an in-molding labelling procedure. This involves special printed labels being automatically inserted into the injection mold before it is filled with plastic. The label then fuses with the plastic and they become one homogeneous unit. 

This process enables the lid or container to be produced, as well as decorated, in one single step, saving both time and money. GIZEH manufactures labels in numerous different materials (plastic, paper, ETR, EUH, EWR, LIM), and all in very different thicknesses. We also work with special labels, in order to create a metallic effect, for example.

The advantage of sleeve decoration lies in its high level of flexibility and decorative coverage of the entire container surface. With a sleeve, products can be adorned in high-quality decoration regardless of shape, for example if sides are rounded or convex-shaped, or if the product has another individual form. 

GIZEH uses a technical process either involving hot steam or hot air. A thin, printed plastic sleeve is curved around the container, then either steam or hot air is used to heat and shrink the sleeve so that it becomes the container’s second skin. Using a sleeve offers advantages such as scratch and moisture resistance, as well as the potential for complete protection against light. Various sleeve materials can be beneficial with different finishes (a matt, gloss or metallic effect) and protective functions (e.g. light protection), as well as with a different feel (e.g. soft touch or paper-like) or transparency.

Adhesive labels can catch your eye with realistic imagery, attention to detail and effects such as the ‘no-label’ look, or removable stickers. GIZEH can apply up to five labels to a container in one working step by using off-mold labelling. 

What’s more, label variety is our strong point: whether it is a matter of exact positioning on difficult forms, wrap-around labelling (overlapping label ends to create a perfect and consistent design), or high-performance labelling for barcodes on the bottom or side of the packaging - GIZEH offers numerous sophisticated solutions for off-mold labelling.

GIZEH can decorate round, square or even convex-shaped containers with up to 8 colors. Using an indirect relief printing technique, color is transferred from an embossed printing plate to a compressible rubber blanket and from there, it is then transferred to the container surface.

The interim step enables color to be transferred onto round or three-dimensional containers. The process means that images can be displayed in a rasterization of up to 40 grid points and it can be carried out at very high speeds. It is a standard and favorable decoration process.
